PROJECT TOGO
PROJECT TOGO works directly with the local people on-site - from the establishment of nurseries, the cultivation of indigenous tree species, the implementation of firebreaks and protective hedges to the care, monitoring and management of forests and arable land as well as additional infrastructure measures. The focus is on education, water, energy, jobs and health. Project Togo empowers the area and offers the local population long-term prospects.

Hydropower Kraftwerk Bujagali
Bei dem Klimaschutzprojekt “Bujagali Hydropower Project“ handelt es sich um ein Wasserkraftwerk am Victoria-Nil in Uganda, das sich den natürlichen Aufbau der namengebenden Bujagali-Fälle zunutze macht. Auf den ehemaligen Wasserfällen wurde ein Staudamm mit fünf Turbinen mit einer Gesamtkapazität von über 250 MW errichtet. Es wird erwartet, dass die Turbinen jährlich 1,305 GWh an Elektrizität liefern, die in das örtliche Stromnetz eingespeist werden. Dies trägt wesentlich zur Verbesserung der Strom- und Wasserversorgung der Bevölkerung bei.

Deutschland Plus wurde von natureOffice als Kombi-Zertifikat entwickelt. Dieses Projekt zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass es die CO2-Bindung oder Vermeidung durch internationale Gold Standard und VCS Projekte deckt und zusätzlich mit einer nationalen Naturprämie für deutsche Wälder und Moore verbindet. Das regionale Engagement wird über einen zusätzlichen Geldbetrag, der zu 100 % an das Bergwaldprojekt e.V. fließt und somit ergänzende Umwelt- und Klimaschutzprojekte ermöglicht, abgedeckt.

Direct project support
Support of a specific ecological, social or combined measure. No particular CO₂e effect is stated.

Legal classification
What EmpCo permits
Investments in environmental initiatives may be communicated factually. A project contribution does not have to be certificate-based.
The important limit
No neutral, reduced or positive climate effect of a product may be derived from the project support.
Application
The new rules apply from 27 September 2026.
Notes on communication
Information instead of promised effects
Communicate only the documented facts: project, project type, period and available records.
Keep them apart
A CO₂ balance, a company's own reductions and voluntary project contributions should be presented separately.
Better avoided
Terms such as “climate neutral”, “CO₂-neutral” or “balanced” in connection with project support.
