Project and effect
- Short description
- The combination links a certificate-based project with separately documented direct support. Its focus is on forest ecology and local development; the certificate-based and direct components are reported separately.
- How it works
- The certificate-based component is the Gold Standard project GS 7726 “300 MW Solar PV Plant at Bhadla, Rajasthan”. It generates solar electricity for the Indian grid; project data are documented and verified under the registered methodology. In addition, forest ecology in Germany and PROJECT TOGO are supported. In Germany, measures are based on local needs, for example reforestation and the protection of mixed forests, biotopes or peatlands. In Togo, support strengthens long-term natural forest development as well as water, education and local value creation based on local needs. Direct support is provided voluntarily outside the company's own value chain, documented separately, not assigned a CO₂ quantity and not offset against CCF or PCF.

Legal classification
What EmpCo permits
Investments in environmental initiatives may be communicated factually. A project contribution does not have to be certificate-based.
The important limit
No neutral, reduced or positive climate effect of a product may be derived from the project support.

The new rules apply from 27 September 2026.
